Gillette’s Castle is a one-of-a-kind attraction you can only find in Moodus/East Haddam, CT. Built by William Gillette, the actor who played Sherlock Holmes, it features gorgeous hiking trails and views plus an indoor tour at certain times of the year.
The tour takes you through the castle and features fascinating little aspects of architecture that were designed based on Gillette’s quirky personality. In December, it is decorated for Christmas and really helps to put you in the holiday season.
This attraction is great for all ages.
