Introducing The John Isham House, located in the picturesque New England village of Moodus, nestled along the CT River in East Haddam.
The Cape Cod, originally built by John Isham in 1794, retains its original charm and warmth.
Entering from the side porch you will be welcomed by original exposed beams and new hardwood floors. Moving into the eat-in kitchen with new granite countertops and marble tile backsplash. The living room offers access to the covered porch and back deck. Rounding out the first floor are a full bathroom and bedroom.
Upstairs you will find a charming bedroom, office/small gym, writing area with desk, reading nook, and half bath.

It was a privilege to stay in this historic house built in the 1700's.
The host put much thought and effort into making the accommodations very comfortable.
The location is quintessential rural Connecticut--close to great hikes, rivers, lakes, horse stables.
Taking the ferry across the river to the restaurants in Chester is one of my life's pleasures.
